Where Sugar Meets Strings
Sugar & Strings Bakehouse was born from two things I love: baking and country music.
My baking journey actually began as The Mad Batter Bakery, where I discovered how much I loved creating homemade treats for other people. As the business grew and I started dreaming about what I wanted it to become, I realized it was time for a name—and a brand—that felt a little more like me.
That’s when Sugar & Strings was born.
Around here, the menu looks a little more like a setlist. Cookies are our Headliners, brownies and bars make up the B-Sides, muffins are the Opening Acts, and there’s always room for a New Release.
But underneath all the music-inspired names is something pretty simple: really good, homemade baked goods made with care.
Country music has always had a way of telling stories and bringing people together, and I think food can do the same. A favorite song can take you back to a moment in an instant—and sometimes so can the smell of banana bread, a warm chocolate chip cookie, or a recipe that tastes like something you grew up with.
Sugar & Strings brings those two worlds together.
And this is only the first verse. I have big dreams for where this little bakery could someday go. For now, though, I’m taking it one batch, one song, and one sweet memory at a time.
